Personalized Internet Assessor, also known as simply rater, is a search engine evaluator job at TELUS International's AI Community (formerly Lionbridge AI) whose client is Google. This project aims to improve its web search service. The core of this online job consists of evaluating web pages and search results for quality and relevance, but many other types of tasks are available. For example, you may be asked to rate the relevance of map results, images, and videos; evaluate how much an automated voice sounds natural or not; rate the utility of auto-completions and related queries; etc.
The Internet Assessor role is TELUS International AI Community's equivalent to the Yukon project at Appen. The word personalized means that these raters are also given the opportunity to opt-in for tasks that involve the use of personal data collected by Google (e.g. their search history or Google Drive files). Raters who opt-in for personalized tasks may receive more tasks in a month compared to other raters, but some evaluators prefer not to rate these types of tasks due to privacy concerns.
Internet assessors are also commonly known as Google raters. It is one of the best AI Community jobs where you can work online remotely.
