Tax Supervisor
around $13/hour
We are seeking a collaborative and customer focused Tax Supervisor to join our team! In this role, you will supervise a team of remote accountants as well as support small business owners with their tax needs. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with US tax regulations by reviewing a high volume of individual and business tax returns.
This role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about developing their staff, is process driven and results-oriented. Reporting to a Tax Manager, you will be given the opportunity to help mentor a team and build long lasting client relationships.
What does the Job Entail?
- Assist Manager in overseeing a team of 10-20 offshore contractor tax professionals in a remote capacity
- Ensure Tax professionals are well-informed and trained on all new products, tax law, procedures, customer needs, and company-related issues, changes, or actions
- Safeguard the integrity of our work by performing timely and accurate reviews of tax returns, tax workpapers and tax projections
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of tax returns and other services so our clients remain in compliance with their tax filing requirements
- Checking Reports and Calendars for Remote Individuals to assist the Manager
- Interact with clients to resolve issues and ensure clients are having a positive experience
- Work and collaborate with cross-functional teams and third parties on ad-hoc projects
Requirements:
- 4+ years experience of hands-on US income tax experience in a corporate environment or public accounting firm
- 2+ years of experience supervising or managing a team of accountants
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Thorough understanding of complex tax issues
- Ability to problem solve and think both creatively and logically
- Outstanding leadership, mentoring and interpersonal skills fostering client and staff relationships
- Strong team-building skills including the ability keep team members engaged and motivated
- Ability to identify and decisively execute solutions to problems
- Proven ability to thrive in a remote work environment, with strong time management and organizational skills, and should be available to collaborate with team members across different time zones.
- Proficiency in the use of various tax software, Lacerte experience preferred

Compensation: $2200.00 - $2,400.00 (12.69$-13.85$)
