As a Freelance Translator, the successful candidate will be responsible for translating a variety of documents, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency in their work. The role involves working on diverse projects, including legal, medical, financial, and technical content, depending on the translator's expertise and interests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate documents from the source language to the target language with high accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure the translated text conveys the original meaning and context.
- Proofread and edit translations for grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Adhere to project deadlines and client-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure the highest quality of translations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a freelance translator or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in at least one source language and one target language.
- Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances in both languages.
- Excellent proofreading and editing skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with translation software and tools is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialization in legal, medical, financial, or technical translation.
- Experience with CAT tools (Computer-Assisted Translation tools).
- Certification in translation or a related field.
