About the Role
The Analytics Engineer will enhance firsthand’s analytics infrastructure, focusing on risk adjustment and medical coding workflows. The role involves building and maintaining data pipelines, developing dashboards, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve analytics capabilities. Reporting to the Director of Data, the engineer ensures clean, maintainable, and extensible code, adhering to modern best practices like DBT, continuous integration, linting, and testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Build reliable, maintainable, and high-performance data pipelines for analysis and BI reporting.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Identify patterns in data models to optimize processes for speed and accuracy.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to enhance analytics infrastructure.
Required Experience
- 3+ years of experience with DBT, advanced SQL (ideally Snowflake), and Git.
- 1+ year working with medical claims data.
- Strong team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in building dashboards and conducting in-depth data analysis.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a startup environment.
- 1+ year of medical risk adjustment experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $120,000–$130,000 annually.
