About the Role

The Senior Gameplay Engineer will focus on world content development, including gameplay components (e.g., interactable objects like doors and barrels), streaming logic, and world object management. This role requires advanced C++ skills, expertise in algorithms and technical architecture, and a strong understanding of target platform optimization. The engineer will collaborate closely with the World Design and Gameplay teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize and enhance Unreal Engine 5's streaming logic for the game.
• Implement modules and components for world-building.
• Collaborate with the World Game Design Team to address design needs.
• Optimize Nanite for world composition.
• Profile and optimize the world budget and performance.

About You

• Experience: 10+ years in programming, including 4+ years in AAA game development.
• Skills:
  • Proficient in C++ with prior gameplay development experience, especially in world-building.
  • Familiarity with git-flow and network-enabled games.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Passion for gaming, crypto, and blockchain technology.
  • Desirable: Experience with Unreal Engine 4/5 and network-enabled games.
• Optional: A love for cats and an appreciation for humor.
