Senior Data Analyst

As a Senior Data Analyst for the New User Experience (NUX) team, you’ll focus on analyzing and optimizing the user’s initial journey with the Rocket Money app. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will leverage data to surface insights, drive strategy, and enhance user engagement during onboarding. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on data analysis to improve new user experiences and inform the company’s roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the relationship between the Data team and NUX product group, aligning on goals and strategies.
• Analyze user journey data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Build and maintain processes, systems, and tools for robust, scalable analytics.
• Translate analytical findings into clear reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Partner with engineering teams to model, debug, and assess data from new user experiences.
• Champion experimentation, guiding teams on design and execution of A/B tests.
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineering to ensure accurate, timely data availability.
• Integrate user experience insights into predictive models with the Data Science team.

About You

• 6+ years of experience in analytics with progressively senior roles.
• Skilled in defining strategy and roadmaps in partnership with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Experience in B2C technology, particularly user onboarding, journey flows, or monetization analytics.
• Proactive self-starter, capable of managing priorities and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of experimental design and statistics for A/B testing.
• Expertise in handling complex, large-scale datasets and analyses.
• Advanced SQL skills for building data models and conducting analyses.
• Proficiency in self-service data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical insights to non-technical audiences and senior leadership.

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with BigQuery, GCP, Fivetran, Looker, Amplitude.
• Proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis.
• Experience building repeatable data models using dbt.
