As a Freelance Expert at TransPerfect, you will play a critical role in ensuring their global clients receive top-tier linguistic services. Delivering impeccable results, showcasing attention to detail, and meeting strict deadlines will be fundamental to this role.

If you register for Translation services, your responsibilities may include:

1. Translation Services (you can choose one or more):

• Translation - Deliver accurate translations by comprehensively transferring the meaning of the source language into the target language, aligned with project instructions.
• Notarized Translation - Provide certified translations and sign a statutory declaration in front of a notary.
• Sworn Translation - Offer translations for legal or official use, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Back-Translation - Translate previously translated documents back to the source language, ensuring semantic accuracy, especially for advertising and pharmaceutical content.
• Proofreading/Editing - Meticulously compare translated content with the source, rectifying errors, inconsistencies, and enhancing style.
• Quality Checks (Final Eye) - Ensure readiness for client delivery, checking formatting, headers, footers, etc.
• Revisions - Implement client-specific changes to enhance translation quality.
• Backediting - Assess and guarantee the semantic accuracy of translations.
• Reconciliations - Compare back-translations with original sources to ascertain meaning consistency.
• On-Site Document Review - Review and process client's foreign language documents on-site based on established criteria.
• Post-DTP Proofreading - Identify and correct errors post-typesetting by the DTP team.
• Light MT Post-Editing - Make essential corrections to Machine Translation outputs to enhance comprehensibility.
• Full MT Post-Editing - Elevate Machine Translation outputs to human-like quality.

If you register for Transcription services, your responsibilities may include:

2. Transcription Services (choose one or more):

• Transcription - Accurately transcribe audio or video content.
• Transcription+Timecoding - Deliver transcription services and create timed subtitles.
• Respeaking - Provide transcription using speech-to-text technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in your desired field of work (e.g. translation, transcription, etc.)
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and within teams.
