The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. Responsibilities include general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, accounts payable, and assisting with audits. This position requires strong accounting expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to the organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and analyze financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Reconcile accounts and support audits while identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage accounts payable, corporate credit card expenses, and inventory records.
- Handle 403(b) plan administration and maintain vendor/contractor records.
- Support special projects and ensure adherence to financial policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance.
- 4+ years of relevant experience; QuickBooks Online proficiency preferred.
- Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets and familiarity with GAAP.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident and willing to travel twice annually.
